Destination Weddings Are a Growing Trend
The world keeps changing, traditions are adapted to the more contemporary lifestyle we all have embraced.
Getting married still is a very important step for everyone involved. First and foremost for the couple but family and friends are equally engaged in the process of helping to make the wedding day the perfect day to remember.
Destination weddings are growing in popularity with many bride and grooms. Getting married overseas, or at least away from where the couple lived or will move to is very popular, and can often turn out to be a lot less expensive than the more traditional version and is generally speaking a lot easier too.
Just to clarify the terminology; a destination wedding is when the wedding ceremony is held at the honeymoon destination, at which family, friends and other invited guests are present.
Usually the bride and groom plan their wedding at a destination of their choice. The arrangement is that all invited guests are paying their own way. Which means, everybody is paying for their air fares and the accommodation out of their own pockets.
The most important consideration for the bride and groom to make is to be aware of that not everybody would want to be spending the money to attend, or some might simply not be able the trip. One thing for the bride and groom is to be aware of that some people could be disappointed by not being able to attend because of cost and other personal reasons. I suggest that the couple is very open about the fact that they will not be taking offence if some loved ones will not attend, and that it will have no influence on the good and strong relationship with the person.
Generally speaking it is better and easier hire an In-House Coordinator When Planning Your Destination Wedding
Hiring a coordinator planner is an investment to be budgeted for when planning an overseas destination wedding. Since the travel and distance make it very difficult and sometimes almost impossible for the bride and groom to monitor the daily progress of their plans, the on-site coordinator can ensure that everything is going according to plan.
Make sure you meet the local rules and regulations
Every country and some times even state has their own rules and regulations about how and where you can get legally married. Please also consider that different time frames apply at your destination to obtain all the legal documents necessary to legalize your marriage.
Do A Great Deal Of Research Before You Make the Final Choice
To ensure that your wedding day will be the day of you life, I suggest you do some serious research.
List the destinations of your dreams first. Then get in touch with the destination’s tourist organization and ask them to give you a list of venues where your wedding ceremony and celebrations could be held. The next step would then be to contact the organizer and ask them to give you the cost, timeframes etc. It is going to be helpful if you as a couple are very clear on what the day should look like and what your budget is. This will help all involved parties to make your wedding day as successful as possible.
